Our Material Culture section provides brief introductions and examples of the various types of physical evidence that survives from tenth- and eleventh-century Europe. Each page summarises the type of evidence and provides thumbnail links to specific items, with information about their date, provenance, region, and links to their current museum holding where you can find further information and more images.
