The After Empire resources section aims to open up the tenth and early eleventh centuries to a wider audience by making it easy to access images, translated texts and commentaries on sources from this period of history.

We are also compiling a comprehensive primary source list for the period 850-1050, which is available as a downloadable spreadsheet. On this page, you can also find all of our short commentaries on sources that have been published on our blog, divided into categories for easy access. You can also use the search bar in the menu above to find information on specific resources.
