Born c. 1773 Ayrshire.

Career

Studied Edinburgh University 4 years, then passed examination at Surgeons’ Hall, London.

Surgeon’s Mate on H.M.S. America then went to Cape of Good Hope and became surgeon on Admiral Elphinstone’s ship. [Doctor]

Death

Died at Lowestoft September, 1814 aged 41.
