Perhaps the Dr Griffiths, surgeon HMS Ocean who died off the Egyptian shore 27.7.1828. Had been 39 years in active employment and was made surgeon by Nelson after the action of the Nile. The St Andrews man published between 1802 and 1806 including translation from French and Travels. [Doctor]
