Born Musselburgh 12.8.1835 son of Col. Oswald Bell, Madras Artillery and Jane Stirling. [Soldier]

Asst. surgeon Staff [Assistant surgeon], Army Medical Service 1857. Resigned 1858. Practised at St Andrews in partnership with Dr John Adamson from 1858. May have acted as assistant to Professor Day 1862. [Doctor]
