Probably born Peterhead 17.5.1811 son of John Ford Anderson, surgeon and Mary Skelton. [Doctor]

Career

Educated under the care of Francis Nicol [St Mary's College 1789-1793](q.v.), his great uncle.

Entered firm of James Thomson & Co, shipbrokers, London and eventually acquired the firm. Ship owners - became important in Australian trade as Anderson, Anderson & Co.

Death

Died 1.9.1897.
