Birth/childhood

Born 1825 son of [ ] Mackay, weaver, St Andrews. Perhaps baptised 27.3.1825 son of John McKie, St Andrews and Magdalene Paterson.

Career

Also at Edinburgh University 1848-1849 and Horton College.

Started life as a weaver then became a mason in which trade he worked at Madras College, St Andrews and New College, Edinburgh.

Baptist missionary India 1855-May 1857 (killed at Delhi). [Missionary]

Death

[Killed at Delhi May 1857.]
