A cabinet maker by trade. Taught in Jamaica. Became a Free Church minister and went to New Zealand in 1859. Held charges at Tokomairiro, Oamaru and Dunedin. [Teacher, minister]

Died at Dunedin [New Zealand] 16.8.1903.
