Birth/childhood

Born 5.7.1814 son of David Skae, architect and builder, Edinburgh and Helen Lothian. Brought up in St Andrews by maternal uncle, Rev. William Lothian.

Career

Also at Edinburgh University.

L.R.C.S.E. 1835. F.R.C.S.E. 1836.

Physician superintendent Royal Edinburgh Asylum. 1846-1873. Taught medical jurisprudence and anatomy in the extra academical school. [Doctor]

Published many papers especially on insanity.

Death

Died 18.4.1873.
