Studied Edinburgh then Oxford University - B.M. 1857 and Cambridge University - M.D. 1863.
Served in Army Medical Service then specialised in the treatment of the insane. Worked in Oxford, London and Haywards Heath. Lord Chancellor’s visitor in lunacy 1870-1896. [Doctor]

Death
Died at Exmouth 18.5.1897.
