Also at Glasgow University - matriculated 1841 and Cambridge University - B.A. 1849, M.A. 1852.

Fellow of Peterhouse 1849, tutor 1855-1856. Admitted to Lincoln’s Inn 1856. Called to the Bar 1859. Equity Draftsman and Conveyancer. Principal of Kombakonan College, Madras 1863-1878. Tutor and Secretary to the Maharajah of Mysore 1878-1885. [Lawyer, teacher]

Death

Died in Edinburgh 16.7.1890.
