Born Cupar 1783 son of [?John] Nimmo, watchmaker then ironmonger, Kirkcaldy.

Career

Also at Edinburgh University - 1799-1800.

Teacher Fortrose Academy c. 1802-1805. Rector Inverness Academy 1805-1811. Government engineer from 1811. Did much of his work in Ireland. Involved in fixing boundaries of Scottish counties.

Died in Dublin 20.1.1832.
