Studied Edinburgh University - medical student 1840-1841, 1842-1843.

L.R.C.S.E. 1834 when he was from Renfrewshire. F.R.C.S.E. 1859.

Practised Edinburgh. President Edinburgh Total Abstinence Society in 1841 - presented by the Society with his portrait in oils. [Doctor]

Death

Died Edinburgh 25.1.1891 aged 83.
