Birth/childhood

Born 23.5.1874 son of Henry Forester Leighton, barrister, Lahore and Mary Maxwell (of Darvel family). [Lawyer]

Career

For a time in Natal Mounted Police then in New Zealand. Served in 1914-1918 War. Started garage near Bristol in 1920’s. Worked in factory in World War II [1940-1945] then drifted about in a boat then lived in the Isle of Wight. [Policeman, soldier]

Death

Died in Isle of Wight County hospital, Ryde 17.9.1959.
