Also at Edinburgh University 1759-1760, 1762-1763, 1764-1765 and Glasgow University where he matriculated in 1766.
Licensed by St Andrews presbytery 1768.
Congregational minister Witham, Essex and Lowestoft, Suffolk to 1772-1773. Minister of Presbyterian Congregation Oulton 1773-1776. Caerlaverock 1776-14.11.1783 (died), but apparently alive at Whitehaven 10.11.1784.
