Advocate 1752. M.P. for Ayrshire 1768-1774. Succeeded brother as 10th Earl of Cassilis in 1776. Representative peer 1776-1792. Completed building of modern house of Culzean. [Lawyer]
Death
Died 18.12.1792 unmarried.
