Born 11.11.1811 son of John Keiller, general merchant, Arbroath and Isabella Anderson.
Career
Studied Edinburgh.
L.R.C.S.E. 1833. F.R.C.P.E. 5.4.1849.
Began practice in Dundee, but after 7 years moved to Edinburgh. [Doctor]
Examiner for medical degrees, St Andrews University 1862-1892.
Lecturer on midwifery and diseases of women R.C.S.E. Physician Edinburgh Royal Infirmary. Examiner Edinburgh University. Acted for Sir James Young Simpson and was a candidate for his chair after his death. [University lecturer]
