Born c. 1810 2nd son of Thomas Johnston, farmer, Hatton, Dumfriesshire.

Career

Also at Edinburgh and Glasgow Universities [Edinburgh University, Glasgow University] - matriculated Glasgow Ethics class 1828. Perhaps the man from Tundergarth who was a third year divinity student at Edinburgh 1833-1834.

Schoolmaster Hoddam, 1837. [Teacher]
