Birth/childhood

Born 19.4.1841 son of George Innes, mason, Cupar and Margaret Roger.

Career

In 1866 joined editorial staff of Glasgow Herald. In 1870 became editor of the Fife Herald and Fife News. Started St Andrews Citizen in 1872. Acquired Fife Herald in 1879 and took his brother, George into partnership. In 1893 the Fifeshire Journal was bought and incorporated with Herald. Entered Cupar Town Council in 1891.

Death

Died 26.5.1901.
