Born 23.10.1829 son of Henry Holman, medical practitioner, Hurstpierpoint, Sussex and Frances [Gates]. [Doctor]

Attended school in Brighton.

Career

Apprenticed in 1847 to Thomas and Peter Martin, Reigate.

Studied Guy’s hospital from 1849 , Edinburgh University in 1851 and Paris.

M.R.C.S.Eng. 1851.

Practised Reigate 1852-1892 then went to London. Took a very prominent part in medical politics and public affairs. Knighted 1903. [Doctor]

Death

Died while on holiday at Ramsgate 18.8.1910.
