Born 30.11.1794 eldest son of Sir John Connell, judge of the Admiralty Court of Scotland and Margaret Campbell. [Lawyer]

Career

Educated at Edinburgh University - arts student 1809-1810, 1814-1817 and medical student 1809-1810 and 1815-1816. And Glasgow University - Snell exhibitioner 1812.

Advocate 1817, but did not practise. [Lawyer]

F.R.S.E. 1829. F.R.S. 1855.
