Curate of St Mary Woolnoth 1795 - 1796. Chaplain in Bengal 1796 - 1797 and elsewhere. Professor of Greek, Latin and English and Vice provost of College Fort William, Calcutta [Fort William College, Kolkata] 1800 - 1807. Returned to England. LL.D. Dublin and D.D. Glasgow and Kings College, Aberdeen. [Minister, university professor]
