Born 6.7.1732 eldest son of William Bruce, 8th Earl of Kincardine and Janet Robertson.
Career
Succeeded his father as 9th Earl of Kincardine, 1740 and as 5th Earl of Elgin in 1747. Improved his estate, building large lime works and a harbour. [Landowner]
Death
Died 14.5.1771 - buried at Dunfermline.
