Born 21.7.1764 son of Carter Braxton, merchant, West Point, Virginia, signatory of the American Declaration of Independence and Elizabeth Corbin.

Intended for a merchant. Also at William and Mary College, 1777 and Pennsylvania University - M.D.

Became a General and had descendants. [Soldier]
