Born 1.3.1804 son of Robert Anstruther, eldest son of Robert Anstruther of Balcaskie 3rd Bart. [Baronet], and Charlotte-Lucy Hamilton.

Succeeded his grandfather as 4th Bart. [Baronet] of Balcaskie in 1818.

Rector of St Andrews University 1858 -1862 (first extrinsic rector). [St Andrews University]

Death

Died 18.10.1863.
