Perhaps the James Adams from Tyrone, Ireland, who was a medical student at Edinburgh University 1818-1819.

In army medical service. Asst. Surg. [Assistant Surgeon] 1804. Surg. [Surgeon] 4th Ceylon Regt. 1813. Retired on half pay 1816, and practised thereafter in Ireland in Athboy, Co. Meath [Athboy, County Meath] and then in Dublin. [Doctor]

Death

Died at Dublin 3.9.1840.
