The University of Dundee Archive Services holds a wide range of records relating to individuals and organisations in the Tayside area and beyond. Covering, mainly, the 17th century to the present day, the collections include manuscripts and other paper material, photographs, film and sound material, maps and plans and an extensive library of local and rare books.
As well as records relating to the University key collections include the Brechin Episcopal Church, records concerning the textile and related industries, whaling and transport records and other significant local material. The University also holds the records of NHS Tayside including hospitals and asylums in Dundee, Perth and Angus.
