Joaquín Ruiz

Lifespan: (? – 1888)

Biography

Joaquín Ruiz (?-1888) was a lawyer who was born in Mexico City and died in Puebla. Ruiz was congressional deputy in 1856 representing the state of Puebla. President Benito Juárez named him president of the Supreme Court of Justice in December 1861 and third constitutional magistrate in May 1862. He was attorney general of the nation in 1867 and in 1877.
