Julian Juvera

Biography

José Julián Juvera (1784-1860) was a soldier who was born Atitalaquia, Hidalgo. In 1810 he was a member of the Lancers of Querétaro. He fought in the War of Independence. Juvera became Brigadier General in 1832. He was active in the War against the United States of America in 1847. He became Commander General and a later Governor of Querétaro. Juvera became Division General in1847. He died in the City of Querétaro.
