CADDEL, SUSANNA [SSNE 7990]

Susanna Caddel was a Scottish woman living in Aardenburg in 1610. She was the "widow" of William Stubert, a soldier serving under Captain Oliver Udny [SSNE 8013]. On 2 January 1610 she tried to marry James Watson [SSNE 7989] but the marriage was prevented or annulled on the discovery that her previous husband was, in fact, still alive.
