Jacobus Lindsæus matriculated at the Seminary of Braunsberg in the diocese of Ermland (Warmia) on 6 August 1596 alongside fellow Scot Wilhelmus Duglasius [SSNE 7874]. Lindsæus and Duglasius were both sent to Vilnius on 29 November 1600 to continue their studies. Lindsæus became a Jesuit priest but died in Scotland in 1624 on some mission for the Church.
