Jacob Johan Crafoord was the son of Joran Crafoord [SSNE 2088] and grandson of the Scottish migrant James Crafoord [SSNE 2090]. He has left us an excellent diary of his time in the army and as a prisoner of the Russians after his capture in the months after the battle of Poltava.
