Text source
A Scottish clergyman named Patrick Crichton came to Sweden in January 1577, presumably to minister to the growing number of Scottish troops being enlisted to serve in Vasa armies.
Patrick Crichton "Scottish priest" appears in the Stockholm magistrates records that year as a local innkeeper named Lucas Lami (possibly also a Scot) complained that the priest had stayed with him and then left without paying what he owed. In addition to that Patrick Crichton had borrowed money from Lami.
Patrick Crichton is said to have ministered to the Scottish community so was most probably a Calvinist.
