Elisabet Alexandersdotter Hervie was the daughter of the Scottish merchant, Alexander Hervie [SSNE 7306] who is mentioned as a merchant in the town of Åbo (Turku in Finnish) in Finland 1624. Her mother was Sofia Hansdotter. Elisabet married Hans Hansson (d.1675), a town councillor of the city. It is probable that Elisabet had a brother, Thomas Hervie (buried on 20th October 1687 in Åbo), who is mentioned as an inn-servant in Åbo 1624 and was later an innkeeper and tax collector in the city.
