William Cromartie from Kirbister, Orkney, was the son of Thomas Cromartie. William became a member of the Orcadian community in Bergen in the first half of the seventeenth century. He was probably a cousin of Thomas Cromartie [SSNE 6857] the younger. In 1631 William sold 2 "mk" udal land in Aith, Walls, Orkney.
