Henrie Browne is mentioned in a letter of decreet from the Scottish admiralty as having sent a letter to John Spalding “A knowne merchand in Dunkirk” [SSNE 4941]. Browne 'at Gothenburg' was married to the said Spalding’s sister, Anna [SSNE 6416]. In fact, Henrie was none other than Kommisar Henrik Braunjohan, merchant and councillor in Gothenburg and married Anna on 7 January 1668.
