Malcolm Hamilton of Hageby was born in April 1695. At the age of eleven he enlisted as a musketeer in the Smålands infantry. He finished his service as a captian in the Livgard. He died in 1746 and is buried in St Jakob's Church in Stockholm. In 1733 he married Hebba Christina Cronhjelm af Flosta
