James Fleck was a lieutenant in the Danish-Norwegian navy. He married Salome Due and the family rented a dwelling (three rooms and a chamber) at Jorgen Andersen's. They had several children: Dorethe, born in 1644, whose guardian was Alexander Ambrosisen Remmesnider; Elizabeth (Lisebet), born in 1643, whose guardian was Alexander Waddel; Johannes, born autumn 1641. Fleck was dead by 7/3/1645 when his estate was assessed (net assets 29 daler 1-14, had several claims to Norwegians; owned pictures and books). Riis believes there may have been two James Flecks.
