David Auld was amongst the Scots and English in Warsaw who subscribed to the subsidy for King Charles II in 1651. He was a part of the 40-strong community who paid 5400 florins in total. A David Auld "merchant in Poland" died in Edinburgh in 1679 leaving behind an estate worth £2370.A.B. Pernal and R.P.
