Carl Magnus Barclay was the son of John Barclay [SSNE 1937/9?]. He enrolled with his brothers Gustav [SSNE 558], John [SSNE 549] and William [SSNE 559] at Uppsala University. He joined the military service as a 'cornett' in the noble corps. Carl was a master of horse in 1676 but he had died by 1678
