William Willimsen Jeffes originated in Newcastle, England. He moved to Bergen where he became a burgess skipper on 18 July 1687. In 1683 he was recorded as living on 2 Rode (17). At some point he married Kirsten Gilles with whom he had a daughter, Johanne Margarethe Jeffes (1683-1710). Johanne married twice, firstly to Frantz Mitzel (buried 13 March 1707) and then to Henrich Weinvig. With her first husband she had a daughter Wilmich Christina (born 1707) and with her second husband she had Karen Henrichsdatter (baptised 20 July 1710)
