James Johnstone of Crimond, Aberdeenshire was admitted burgess of Cracow in 1598.
In 1598 James Johnstoun, a Scots shopkeeper, provided a birthbrieve with a title to nobility on both his parents' sides dated Aberdeen 4 July 1597, took the oath and paid 5 florins in order to become a citizen of Cracow.
