In 1622 an Alexander Dixon had proved his genealogy and been admitted citizen of Cracow, but was not required to pay anything as he was a patrician. The following year Alexander Dixon is mentioned as the son of Robert Dixon and Jadwiga, but his date of birth is not given. In 1644 he was an elder of the Cracow Protestant Congregation, and again in 1651A.F. Steuart, Papers relating to the Scots in Poland 1576-1793, Edinburgh, 1915, p.44 and pp.82-3, p.111; Lib. Jur.
