Ensign David Anderson took part in the siege of Breda in 1637 where he received a commendation for recovering the body of Captain Williamson, the only Scottish officer's body to be recovered. While serving in Colonel Sandiland's regiment, Anderson was captured at the battle of Callo in March 1639See J.
