HAY, JAMES [SSNE 50]
Text source
James Hay served as a lieutenant in the Danish army, arriving in 1657. He is probably the same as Jacob Haj noted by Jacob Alexander Preben Haj as being his grandfather, who had emigrated from Scotland and served as a captain in the Danish army. His son Alexander Haij [SSNE 6547] also served in the Danish-Norwegian army as a lieutenant-colonel.
