Peter Cahun arrived in Sweden about 1613 and is sometimes confused with another man of the same name [SSNE 6145]. Cahun became a burgess in Enköping between 1613-1619. He also traded in Falun and became an owner in the Falu copper mine and Swedish trading company 'Svensk handelskompaniet'. His position brought him some authority and he became a rådman in Falun and 'provisoriska magistrat' between 1628-1629. He died in 1633. He married to Christina Hansdotter in 1623 and they had a two sons (Jakob and Hans persson) and three daughters (Brita, Gertrud and Wendela).
