Andrew Davidson Christie moved from Scotland to Bergen where he became a burgess. An Anders Christie is noted as having some connection with George Gordon of Banff and Bergen, and perhaps acted as his sponsor in Norway. Christie was married to Grisele Vernton, widow of Thomas Beg and later Anna Henriksdatter Gyttrich. He had a son, David Andersen Christie who was baptised on 17/06/1673 and died in 1719.
