Captain Learmonth is listed as a member of Gustav II Adolf's one and only Scottish regiment (Samuel Cockburn's [SSNE 4219] during the Kalmar War, 1611-13. Despite this, there were various other companies led by and comprising of Scottish officer and men. It is probably this Captain Learmonth who was noted as in charge of a company of 156 men in 1612.
