Charles de Watt was engaged in Holland for Danish service. He was dismissed with a pension on 19/10/1655, but was to be ready for service. He served as the commander of 'De Wage' in the Great Belt on 27/2/1659, 'Lindormen' in 1665 and second in command of the 'Havhesten' between 1669-72 (bound for Tranquebar and Java).T.
