Georg Ogilvie (the younger) was born in 1667 in Vor Pommern (Pomerania). He served as a page to Karl XI in 1682 and joined the army in 1687 as an NCO. He served in the Kalmar Regiment as a sergeant and became an ensign in 1693. By 1702 he was a lieutenant and a captain by 1714. Georg was captured at Poltava with the rank of captain on 1 July 1709 and returned home in 1722 with the rank of Major. He left service in November 1729 and died in 1731. His brother, Johan [SSNE 6100] was killed at Poltava.
